‘KONK is a sparkling coconut water beverage that I created while on work placement in Finland. The name ‘KONK’ represents the noise of a falling coconut hitting something. For the design of the can I chose a white base colour, this rep- resents the flesh of the coconut. For the pattern and logo, I chose colours I felt gave the can a tropical paradise feeling, to reference the sorts of places coconuts usually grow. For the poster design I wanted to give a feeling of refreshment, and continue the tropical feeling, so I used a mixed blue background that represents the clear blue sea’s found around tropical islands. In the poster the can is seen coming out of a coconut that has just smashed, which would make the sound “KONK”.
